Leaders and teams usually reach out because something important isn’t working. They often know what they want to be different, but it can be much harder to see what is keeping them stuck or how to change it.

The challenges may look like separate problems. Often, the same underlying patterns are shaping how people behave, work together and perform. These patterns can be difficult to see when you are in the middle of them.

I help make those patterns visible so that we can work with what is really happening.

How you show up as a leader has a real impact on the people around you. Your presence can help people speak honestly, take ownership and do their best work, or it can make them cautious, dependent or reluctant to speak.

Being present means being aware of yourself, attentive to others and able to respond to what is actually happening. When your words and actions match, people have a clearer sense of where they stand with you. Trust grows, conversations become more honest and people are more willing to step forward.

ABOUT

Brendan Geary

I'm an executive coach, team coach, leadership consultant and facilitator. I believe in the possibility I see in people, and I'm willing to both support and challenge them towards it.

I began my career as a psychologist and have since spent more than three decades working in leadership, consulting, coaching and organizational change. I have held senior roles in major organizations, served on the executive leadership team of a global business and worked with leaders across industries, cultures and levels of responsibility.

That experience means I understand leadership from the inside. I have worked in complex organizations and know what it is like to lead change when the demands keep coming.

Clients tend to experience me as thoughtful, direct and challenging. I keep the work practical while helping them look beneath the immediate problem and see what may be keeping it in place.
